Recruitment Videos for Utah Clinics and Health Systems

Hiring in healthcare is hard everywhere, and Utah is no exception. Clinics, hospitals, surgery centers, home health agencies, and specialty practices along the Wasatch Front are all trying to reach the same nurses, medical assistants, techs, therapists, and physicians. A job post can list pay, shifts, and benefits. What it cannot do is show a candidate what it actually feels like to walk into your building on a Tuesday morning.

Capture Films is a video production company in Provo, Utah, and a healthcare recruitment video is one of the most practical things we help Utah clinics and health systems make. It is a short, honest look at your people, your culture, and the work itself, built so the right candidates can picture themselves on your team before they ever apply.

WHY VIDEO HELPS HEALTHCARE HIRING

Healthcare candidates have options, and they are good at reading between the lines of a job description. Most of them want to know a few simple things. Who will I work with? How do people treat each other here? Is leadership supportive? What does a normal shift look like?

A recruitment video answers those questions in a way text cannot. Candidates hear real team members talk in their own words, see the space they would work in, and get a sense of the pace and tone of the place. That helps good fits lean in, and it helps people who would not be happy there self select out early, which saves your recruiters time.

Video also travels well. The same footage can live on your careers page, in job posts, on LinkedIn and Instagram, at hiring fairs, in nursing school outreach, and in follow up emails after an interview.

WHAT A STRONG RECRUITMENT VIDEO SHOWS

Every organization is different, but the best healthcare recruitment videos usually focus on a few things:

  • Real employees, not actors, talking about why they chose your organization and why they stay.

  • The daily work, shown respectfully, including team huddles, handoffs, training, and the moments between patients.

  • Leadership that is visible and approachable, such as a nurse manager or medical director speaking plainly about expectations and support.

  • Growth paths, such as tuition help, mentoring, residency programs, or clear steps from one role to the next, described accurately.

  • The community and the place, from the clinic itself to life in Utah County, Salt Lake, or wherever your team lives and works.

We usually build one main careers film and then a set of shorter role specific pieces. A video for travel nurses or new graduates should feel different from one aimed at experienced surgical techs or physicians.

PRIVACY COMES FIRST ON SET

Filming inside a working clinic or hospital takes care. Patients are there for treatment, not to be in a hiring video, and your staff still has to do their jobs while we are in the building.

We plan every shoot around that. We work with your team to schedule filming in areas and at times that keep patients out of frame, use staff or volunteers in any scenes that suggest patient care, and avoid screens, charts, whiteboards, and wristbands that could show patient information. We get signed releases from everyone who appears on camera. Capture Films does not claim HIPAA certification. We are a privacy conscious production team that works within your organization's own legal, compliance, and marketing review, and we route scripts and cuts through those reviewers before anything goes live. For more on how we handle privacy with real people on camera, see our post on patient testimonial videos that respect privacy.

HOW WE BUILD A HEALTHCARE RECRUITMENT VIDEO

Our process is built to fit around clinical schedules.

First, discovery. We meet with your HR, recruiting, and department leaders to learn which roles are hardest to fill, who you are trying to reach, and what makes your organization a good place to work. We also ask what candidates often get wrong about you, because that is often the best story to tell.

Second, planning. We choose who should be interviewed, outline the questions, and build a shot list of the spaces and moments that tell the story. We confirm what areas are cleared for filming and which times work best for each department.

Third, production. Most recruitment videos take one or two shoot days, sometimes split across locations. We set up quiet interview spaces with good light and clean audio, then capture supporting footage with a small, respectful crew that stays out of the way of care. Leadership interviews or talking head pieces can also be filmed at our Provo studio when that is easier.

Fourth, post production. We edit the main film and cutdowns, add music, captions, and graphics, and send drafts to your team and reviewers. We revise until it is approved and then deliver files sized for every place you plan to use them.

ONE SHOOT, A FULL HIRING TOOLKIT

A well planned recruitment shoot can give your team months of hiring content. From the same days we can usually deliver:

  • A two to three minute careers page film.

  • Role specific videos for nursing, allied health, front office, or physicians.

  • Short vertical clips for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts.

  • Quick employee quotes you can drop into job posts and recruiter emails.

  • A welcome or onboarding video for new hires.

  • Still photos of your team and spaces for your careers site.

If hiring is an ongoing need, a monthly or quarterly rhythm keeps that content fresh as new programs, locations, and team members come online. Our post on ongoing video programs and content retainers explains how that works.

WHY A UTAH CREW MAKES SENSE

Utah has a growing healthcare sector, with health systems, independent clinics, specialty practices, and health tech companies spread from Ogden through Salt Lake, Lehi, Provo, and down to St. George. Candidates here often care about the same things: a team that treats them well, a schedule that works for their family, and a community they want to live in.

A local crew understands that. We can be at your clinic in Utah County or along the Wasatch Front without travel days, come back easily for a second location or a follow up shoot, and show the outdoor life and neighborhoods that help candidates picture moving here. We have also produced recruiting work outside healthcare, including a recruiting video for the Utah County Sheriff's Department, and we covered that approach in our post on recruiting videos for Utah aerospace and defense contractors. For a broader look at our healthcare work, see our guide to healthcare video production in Utah.

WHAT TO BRING TO THE FIRST CONVERSATION

You do not need a finished concept. It helps to bring:

  • The roles you most need to fill and who you are trying to reach.

  • A few team members who would be comfortable on camera.

  • The locations and departments that could be filmed, and any areas that are off limits.

  • Your brand guidelines and your internal review steps for marketing content.

  • A rough budget and timeline, including any hiring events you want the video ready for.

  • A few recruitment videos you like, from any industry.

From there, we will recommend a plan that fits your schedule and your review process. You can see examples of our work on our portfolio page.

LET'S HELP YOU HIRE

A healthcare recruitment video works when it is honest about the work and proud of the people doing it. It helps the right candidates find you, gives your recruiters something better than a job post to share, and shows your current team that their work is valued. Capture Films brings that approach to clinics and health systems from our studio in Provo, Utah, and across the Wasatch Front.

If you are ready to show candidates what it is really like to work with your team, contact Capture Films and tell us which roles you are hiring for.
